We love being part of the West Coast region and truly value the strong relationships we continue to grow with our regional education providers, businesses and community organizations.

Students in year 11, 12 and 13 have the option to study in a trades programme as well as working towards their NCEA qualifications. Student enrolments have grown from 60 students in 2016 to 235 students in 2021. Student achievement is very high, with over 90% of course participants going from the Trades Academy into employment or higher-level tertiary training.
The West coast Trades Academy:
Productive People have managed the West Coast Trades Academy since 2016, ensuring the students who enroll are matched to the right courses for their future career development. Productive People are responsible for the tracking of student achievement, quality assessment of courses, course development, pastoral care, student travel coordination and all of the projects marketing, promotions and finance management.
Upskill Training & Recruitment:
Since July 2020, Productive People have been responsible for the management and delivery of this hugely successful project which provides much needed recruitment services and training coordination support to West Coast businesses and job seekers. The project is funded by The Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, through Development West Coast. Funding is applied to provide candidates who meet criteria with free industry recognized training and recruitment services at no cost to businesses. Productive People are responsible for ensuring all project deliverables are met, providing high level customer and client care, on time and to budget.
Byte Māwhera Digital Hub:
Since July 2021 Productive People have partnered with Tech Space to assist in the daily management of the Byte Māwhera Digital Hub.
Digital businesses have a global audience at their fingertips. At the Byte Māwhera Digital Hub, we aim to support business and our community through up-skilling and nurturing startups through a range of digital services including workshops, training, coaching, mentoring, and advisory services. Byte facilitates a range of events networking opportunities.
Great Futures Vocational Pathways Tours:
Productive People works with employers and The Trade Collective to promote, coordinate and support annual "Great Futures Tours" to promote vocational pathways and trades careers to youth in NZ.
