100% SWEET is a local approach to ensuring our school leavers are engaged in further education, training & employment, our goal ‘100% of Students in Whanganui in Education Employment and Training’. Secondary students – While at school we meet with individual students helping them transition into the workplace or tertiary education. Secondary schools – We support our local secondary schools by working with teachers and leadership teams on career pathway advice, supporting the delivery of the Work Ready Passport. Tertiary – Assist students with finding the right tertiary education & assist with enrolment. Business – Identify local employment opportunities with local businesses and then assist school leavers with gaining employment.

Achievement NZ provides a strengths-based, accessible educational service that helps learners overcome barriers and gain confidence and momentum in their pursuit for educational success. Achievement NZ offers the opportunity to gain qualifications at Levels 1 to 3 on the NZ Qualifications Framework. Credits achieved can go towards NCEA Level 1 to 3. Achievement NZ can also support the development of workplace literacy and numeracy skills. The learning experience includes experiencing early success, identifying and maximising personal strengths, taking personal responsibility, having a strong support crew, exploring aspirations that are aligned to strengths and celebrating success. Our Tertiary Education Commission funded programmes include My Voice Achievements Level 1; Careers in Hospitality Level 2; Active Careers Level 2 and Hospitality Plus Level 3.
AGC is a Whanganui based PTE offering courses in Farming, Construction and Animal Care. Our role is part of an Moe-MSD initiative to expose high school students to career opportunities and pathways, and broker transitions from school into meaningful work. We also work across the E2E network to strengthen further the relationships and connections between school, business and industry.
Ako Aotearoa is a government-funded organisation committed to supporting the country’s tertiary sector teachers, trainers and educators be the best they can be for their learners' success. We provide professional development to build educator capability in supporting young people in their learning journey.

Central Otago REAP offers a range of short and longer courses. The short courses cover topics such as CV's, Drivers licenses ( all stages), Career Directions, and Digital skills. Choices, an intensive literacy and numeracy programme, runs year long with open enrollment. The course covers developing skills, confidence and gaining NCEA levels through outreach providers.
The goal of our Youth Employability Programme: the Licence to Work is to make it possible for all 14 to 24-year-olds to gain the insight, confidence and skills they need to get work, keep work and create careers. We seek to attain this goal through a customisable programme that incorporates facilitated classroom learning with real world work experience. The programme is based on the NZ Employability Framework. We also provide training for facilitators, and we build partnerships with local organisations to help make the YEP fit for purpose in their areas/regions.
Crescendo Studio's mentoring programmes are for youth aged 12-24. We provide the space, industry best equipment, software and opportunity to work with talented audio engineers, musicians and mentors who can engage with young adults through a medium they are interested in. Rangatahi come to us from a range of backgrounds and abilities, this does not define them. They can leave these labels at the door and focus on positive outlets and skills to improve their lives. Crescendo Studio's are a place for rangatahi to express themselves, upskill in audio engineering, radio broadcasting and join a creative whanau. Through this experience they gain a support network and confidence in themselves to make positive choices for their own lives.
Ruia Nga Kakano O Te Tumanaako I Roto I Te Maara O Te Hinengaro To cultivate the seeds of hope within the garden Cultivate is a social enterprise where the produce grown by our team is sold local restaurants, cafes and the community. This is a free programme for 16-25 year olds who require employment support. They do not necessarily need to be interested in horticulture but interested in developing their strengths in employment plus a place to gain work experience, job seeking and interview support, CV and cover letter writing skills as well as a reference. It is an outside working environment so this is important to understand. The programs runs up 20 weeks and is a paid, 30hrs per week Mon to Thu 8am to 4pm

Youth Employment Success works collaboratively with communities to engage and support youth into good jobs and great futures. Our goal: reducing New Zealand’s shocking youth unemployment statistics. Launched in Dunedin in 2016, YES was designed to make a difference to the lives of Youth and to recognise Employers that were already doing great things, and connecting them. We have a solid, secure and modern platform that enables digital connection, job board advertising and celebration of both youth and employers.
This programme will incorporate the active participation of the START – Youth Service, youth case workers, HWC Youth Transitions workers and HWC Social Service Staff. These staff will refer, coach and mentor each participant through this programme. We also host access to specialist mental health services through our partners to navigate any potential mental health issues that are disclosed during the course of these activities. This pilot programme is designed to mentor and staircase / scaffold young people into employment, whilst being incentivised to complete a community work programme.
Nelson, Tasman
Uprising! is an education and support service, a six month programme (3 months active, 3 months followup) that combines life skills education, adventure (and other) activities, and pastoral care for marginalised adults in Nelson and Tasman who may be caught up in the justice, welfare or health systems. The programme creates change due to its wraparound nature and development of mind, body and spirit. Clients depart better empowered, healthier, happier and fitter with greater self reliance and better habits. They are ready for the next stage of their lives - employment, training, or whichever direction they deem is best for them to head in.

TT, by Foster Our Future, is an organisation assisting students into the medical profession through academic support, career guidance, mental health support and pastoral care. As a social enterprise and registered NZ charity, we are owned and operated by NZ medical students and doctors to provide the highest quality of service available on the market, following a strict ethical code, working both with students and parents directly, as well as schools and other organisations. We support students with reduced and inequitable access to educational opportunities through in-kind scholarships, free services and mental health service subsidisation.
Hawke's Bay
LIFT aims to deliver the mission of 100% youth employment for the Hawkes Bay region. We work with the most disadvantaged and excluded young people to create a job-led ‘wrap-a-round’ approach that provides pathways for young people into sustainable employment or self-employment. As a social enterprise, LIFT delivers services that have been designed by local rangatahi. LIFT is delivered by a young local team, who offer a unique relatability and can build relationships and rapport others cannot. We reach young people and whanau using non-traditional approaches, which has resulted in engagement with numbers of ‘hard to reach’ unemployed young people far exceeding expectations.
M.A.T.C.H Intensifier Pathway to the Tech Creative Industry The tech creative industry is one of the fastest-growing and includes animation, gaming, VR/AR/XR, film, marketing, architecture and many more sectors. M.A.T.C.H – the Māoriland Tech Creative Hub is for rangatahi with a strong interest in art, storytelling and digital tools. The aim of our M.A.T.C.H Intensifier programme is to provide rangatahi with skills and support to step into the tech creative industry. The MATCH Intensifier programme is unique for the following reasons; a 6-week fees-free training programme delivered by industry experts Followed by a 12 week paid internship All in a Māori environment at the Māoriland Hub in Ōtaki.
Students are involved and benefit from YEP through collaboration with the Marlborough Youth Trust
Marlborough Youth Trust has been proudly supported by Marlborough District Council, REAP Marlborough and Ministry of Social Development to train youth workers to facilitate the Youth Employability Program- As a trust we have provided 5 Mahi YEP groups with 10 youth in each program over the last 2 years. With some beautiful stories of youth development.

The Nelson Regional Development Agency exists to make a difference to the future prosperity of the Nelson Tasman region through positioning, connecting and promoting the region. The Skills and Workforce team positions the Nelson Tasman region as a place where talent and investment wants to be. Looking to develop a suite of programmes (Summer internship and graduate programme and looking into a digital hub for youth in the top of the south region. Potentially piloting an initiative to combat NEET status for rangitahi from marginalised groups in our region.
Bay of Plenty
At Rangiatea all students can participate in the Youth Employability Programme. Students are able to participate in volunteering opportunities and complete work experience. All students also complete assessments in Careers and Employability and gain credits towards their NCEA qualification. Students can also work towards sitting their drivers licence, completing a Barista course and gaining their first aid certificate.
REAP Marlborough offers lifelong learning opportunities throughout Marlborough. Our programmes include: foundation skills courses e.g welding, barista, Te Reo, Drivers Licence support, Youth Employability Programme support, Thrive-Tupu young parents’ playgroup support, First Aid, Sign Language, Defensive Driving, Digital literacy and more. REAP Marlborough also offers COMET Auckland's Youth Employability Programme: Licence to Work. YEP aims to make it possible for all 14 to 24-year-olds to gain the insight, confidence and skills they need to find and keep work and create careers. REAP Marlborough supports the Marlborough Youth Trust to run the Youth Employability Programme in Blenheim. This programme consists of 12 modules (teaching generic employability skills), 40 hours volunteer time and 40 hours of work placement. REAP Marlborough also supports Te Hā o Matauranga in Kaikōura to run YEP in their community.
