Description

This programme has been established to help students develop the skills required to gain employment in the Taupō region. A customised programme will be created for students at the commencement of the programme and it will be guided by an initial assessment process. This informative assessment process ascertains the necessary skills-development the student requires in relation to their preferred employment pathway. The learning plan can include, but is not restricted to, literacy and numeracy development, obtaining a driver licence, budgeting, preparation for tertiary-level training, computer skills for business and administration, on-site placement training and any preparation identified to ensure that the student has the skills required for employment. The programme timeframe is adapted to meet the students’ needs and availability. Once workready the student is assisted in gaining an employment opportunity.
