Description
Rangiātea - Whakatāne School for Young Parents is a secondary school located in Whakatāne, Eastern Bay of Plenty. Rangiatea provides education to young parents between the ages of 13 and 21 years old who are either hapu or the primary caregiver of their child. We are a welcoming and positive kura where all students are on their own individual learning pathway, tailored to meet their needs. Students have access to NCEA as well as a range of programmes to support them in their career aspirations. All students participate in the Youth Employability Programme which prepares them to be work ready. They also have access to work experience, driver training, first aid and barista training as part of their journey towards further study or employment. All students have access to wrap around social, health and financial support to ensure their success.
